“Angel in the Smoke” is one of the most personal pieces I have ever created. The song was inspired by the loss of my wife to cancer and the emotional darkness that followed. During that time, I struggled with grief, isolation, and suicidal thoughts while trying to find the strength to continue living and be there for my daughter.
This track represents pain, love, survival, and hope. The “angel” symbolizes the memory of my wife still guiding me through the smoke of depression, heartbreak, and uncertainty. Creating this music became part of my healing process — a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is still a reason to keep moving forward for the people we love.
